Team Members have some of the most important jobs in our restaurants, whether its making sure that guests are receiving the genuine hospitality we’re known for or taking care of the details that make our restaurants run. Some of our positions include Server, Bartender, Server Assistant, Line Cook, Prep Cook, Dishwasher, Utility and Porter (NY only).


Being a Certified Trainer is a reward for outstanding performance. It means you’re a Best-In-Class expert in your area(s), and the perfect person to train new Team Members. It’s a vital role in our growth as well as yours.

Team Lead

A stepping-stone to management, this is an hourly supervisor position with leadership responsibilities. You’ll have a role in teaching, training and developing a team around you.


Being an Assistant Manager is about taking ownership of your team. You’ll coach, lead, develop and engage the team you’ve put together to do its job. You’ll also support the Ted’s values and make sure we stay true to our commitments to people, guests and communities.

Culinary Manager

Ted’s is proud to be a fresh food restaurant, and as Culinary Manager it’s your job to execute our philosophy of scratch cooking in small batches. It’s a key position that demands strong leadership, attention to detail and quality control.

Senior Manager

A Senior Manager lives and breathes the Big Sky Spirit and fully embraces the Ted’s culture. Your leadership and commitment to Ted’s, not just in your restaurant but your entire region, puts you in position to take the next step and become a Ted’s Proprietor.

Training: Commitment to Growth & Development

Hourly Training:

At Ted’s we want to ensure you have the right training to perform the functions of the job you are in. That is why we operate with a certified training program. This program will allow you to be trained by current team members who are best-in-class in their area(s).

Management in Training:

Training our future leaders is serious business at Ted's Montana Grill. Our training program is a total of eight weeks. Those eight weeks are spent in a field training restaurant where you will learn both front-of-house and heart-of-house functions. Once you are done with that, you will then go through one week of structured “transition training” in your assigned “home” restaurant.

Shortly after training, you will then spend one week at the Restaurant Support Center in Atlanta, Ga. at our Ted’s Montana Grill University. We want you to have the chance to meet your support team and learn “Best Practices” to enhance your abilities.

Professional Growth & Development:

Gallo Wine Academy

To help further our Team’s wine knowledge, we’ve teamed up with Gallo Wine Academy, the official online study guide for the Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) exam. The Gallo Wine Academy is designed to give our Team Members an opportunity to increase their knowledge about wine varietals.

Blanchard Certified

Ted’s Montana Grill has partnered with Blanchard Certified, a leadership development system that helps organizations create engagement, and improve communication and relationships for greater goal achievement and increased productivity by drawing on best practices pooled from four decades of leadership research and implementation, via The Ken Blanchard Companies.
