Manager Job Description

Title: Manager
Department: Operations
Reports to: Proprietor
Typical Work Week: 55+ hours

Position Summary:

  • Train and education new team members on Ted's Montana Grill culture, philosophies, standards and operations.
  • Create an experience that every guest will seek to repeat.
  • Visit 100% of the tables 100% of the time to ensure that guests are receiving great food with a great attitude.
  • Manage all team members under their supervision, including counseling, disciplining and scheduling.
  • Build sales through high standard of quality, service and sanitation while practicing TMG values.
  • Control costs by constantly training and education team members and fellow managers.
  • Attend weekly management meetings.
  • Manage the bar and hostess staff.
  • Build teamwork among team members and fellow managers.
  • Create a fun and energetic environment.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong restaurant operations background.
  • Strong Training background.
  • Strong communication skills verbal and written.
  • Strong proof-reading skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.  Able to communicate with individuals at all levels of the corporation.
  • Organizational skills-Ability to be organized in a changing environment.
  • Ability to maintain a calm professional demeanor during periods of uncertainty or crisis.
